3104 Pieces, over 32 inches long and 17 inches tall. This Enormous Lego Set took over 10 hours to complete. The Imperial Star Destroyer is in the very memorable first scene of Star Wars: A New Hope. This ship was also featured in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

I recently purchased one of these LINK HERE.

It is called a disposable video camera sold in Rite-Aid or CVS.

I want to connect the camera to my computer. How can this work? The answer lies in a program that is making Pure Digital Technologies not happy.

There was a recent piece of software made named CronusKey by forum member at camerahacks.com.

It was then removed from sourceforge.net and is hard to find but here a few links to download sites. People asked where can i find cronuskey.rar? It is at the following sites.
These three links are from http://freelowell.com
Cronuskey 1.1
Cronuskey 1.3
Cronus Gui for Noobs

I have been reading digg.com a lot lately, (meaning the last few months). I am the type of digg user who uses digg mainly for reading I hardly digg anything and rarely submit stories. I guess you could say I am a pacifist when it comes to digg. I find the stories interesting to read about 1/4 of the time. But the real reason I am here writing today is to talk about why digg is democratic.

There have been a number of digg submissions over the past few months about how a small number of diggers have been "controlling" what goes on the front page. I will say that I have noticed a few "super" diggers who have been on the front page a lot.

Now I have recently read a little bit about how people might interpret this as; a few diggers are controlling the site. I agree that it seems that way, but there seems no reason for anyone to conclude that this implies that digg is not democratic.

Democracy is a dish best served cold.

Democracy is a two party system, the people in charge, GOP(super diggers), and the people not in charge, (I have no name for these people). It seems as though we are in the midst of a revolution, perhaps.

Democracy enables the few to speak for the masses. It allows for corruption. It allows for freedom of speech. It enables it citizens(diggers) to act against the GOP(super diggers) with equal rights.

In other words, there needs to be a second party to combat the "super digers". If people are upset that there are major players making moves and having lots of support, then perhaps those upset individuals should band together and form and undigg collective. The democrats to the republicans.

As I said earlier I am a pacifist when it comes to digg.com. Perhaps I and the other diggers like me are the Naders in all of this. While the other two factions are the Bush and Gore. (Or whoever the two pundits will be in the next election.) I do not really care that only a few make digg.com's front page. I only care that people realize that a democratic system might actually make people mad. It has been making people mad for years.

I finally made a cable that works with the camera. It does not fit snug nor does it work everytime, but it works some of the time which is all I need.

I will make a better version of the cable. I need to be able to work with a shit ton of different cameras.

I used CronusKeys to unlock the camera. I used the windows xp install I have on my macbook. It works like a charm. Now to get this to work on osx.

My disposable video camcorder is looking very blank and pale. I removed all of the stickers and put them on a piece of paper for storage to create templates to have my very own custom labels made by icecreamman.com.

I am in the process of creating a cable to connect my camera to my computer. I will post pics and keep everything updated here.

After testing more half life 2 settings. I have found that the the game still crashes at some points. I believe this is caused by a video card incompatability. I am almost certain of it now. I have read a few items about the 2 different problems I have been finding.

One is that the game crashes as a graphic intensive scene starts. I will walk into a large area and the sound will start to stutter and then the game crashes. I have read that this is not an audio problem but a graphics related issue. There has been a patch for it but I believe that this has not been cured for the macbook video card.

Two is the problem of crashing when autosaving at non-autosave points and still being able to save the game from the game menu without crashes. I have no idea what to do here.

I finally installed boot camp and installed windows xp on a partition on my hard drive.
I tried for about a day to install mac osx on an ipod and then do bootcamp there. That never worked and will never work according to the boot camp documentation. The main hold up is that windows cannot boot off of external drives with any ease.

The very first thing I did on my new windows install was install firefox. Then I installed Half Life 2. I began a new game and played for a few minutes until the first auto-load/auto-save point came up. For those of you who have not yet played the game, this happens way before any action occurs. I kept reloading the game until an auto-save point came around, then the game would crash and I would have to reload the game. I did this for a couple hours having a great time. Being able to play Half Life 2 on the go is exciting. I finally got sick of this auto-save problem so I decided to look for a way to turn it off.

Since I have used windows machines for many many years I knew that most games have a console (usually you hit the ~ key spelled "tilde") I learned this from Quake 3 I think. I started looking over the web to find the command that would turn off the mighty auto-save crash. I found it here TweakGuides.com.
It was on the last page of the guide and it is a simple command. Once the console is enabled that is.

To enable console goto the options wenu in the game and goto the keyboard options. Click advanced and check the console option.
Now to the command part. I believe the command is "sv_autosave 0" this turns off the autosave when the midlevel loading occurs.
I do not want to step on TweakGuides.com toes so I am referencing them the whole way. They made this work for me.

Now there is another fix for other types of auto-saves in the game. Involving changing the properties on 4 files to read-only. DO NOT do this on a MacBook (or potentially other intel macs). I only had bad luck with this. It made the game crash when i just wanted to do a manual save via the game menu. When I reversed the properties back to the original values everything worked properly. I had no crashes at auto save points (because it is not saving) and I could save the game manually and via the quick save (F6) with no crashes.

I hope this helps the mac users out there who have less experience with PC games. I love playing Half Life 2 on my Mac Book. It totally kicks ass. I have not copied any of the text or html from TweakGuides.com just used the info they gave me. I do not mean to cover my butt but I Do not want to piss anybody off. I have cited you as the authors of the guide I found a little tidbit of info in to fix a major problem on asystem unsupported by Valve.

Let the games begin.
If anyone can get Half Life Deathmatch to work properly send me an email or comment.

I just got my new OCZ RAM.
It was listed as pc5400 ddr 667mhz.
I purchased 2x1 gigabyte sticks.
I purchased it from newegg.com.
It passed memtest and registered as pc5300, which is what the RAM is, pc5400 is a farse.
I purchased the pc5400 thinking it would be better than others. Perhaps it is perhaps it isn't. I just know that it works awesome and passed the memtests.

The performance improvement is astounding. The finder is amazing quick now.

I recommend a RAM upgrade for everyone.

I am going to order the two gigs of ram that this beast of a computer needs to run appropriately. I am a little disappointed with the performance of the macbook with its base of RAM. It should ship with 1gb of RAM.

I will stress my complaints here. I will update when I have installed the new RAM.
